Sweetwater is the County seat of Nolan County. Nolan County is the Wind Energy Capital with some 500 giant wind turbines atop Trent Mesa. You can get a close look from State Highway 70. Sweetwater is also home to the the National Wasp WWII Museum, Texas State Technical College, the Pioneer Museum, the Historic Municipal Auditorium and the Nolan County Coliseum.There are some great museums and parks to check out and enjoy. Located about 30 minutes away from Colorado City, and 20 minutes away from Trent, Texas.
